White Water Rafting In Garhwal region the sacred river Ganga offers the professional as well as the amateur the exhilaration of white water rafting. The Alaknanda and Bhagirathi, are the main tributaries of the Ganga and meet at Devprayag, frothing from their racy descent. Rajaji National Park is distinct for its pristine scenic beauty and rich bio-diversity. Three sancturies in the Uttarakhand, Shivaliks - Rajaji, Motichur and Chila were amalgamated into a large protected area and named Rajaji National Park in the year 1983 after the famous freedom fighter Late Sri C. Rajgopalachari; popularly known as "Rajaji". This area is the North Western Limit of Asian elephants .

     River Side Camping

Whether you've been bird watching, browsing the local craft galleries, enjoying the eateries, walking the beautiful forests and mountain tracks of nearby area viewing the wild scenery across the river watching and waterfalls or simply relaxing on the swing seat by the river with a good read, surfing in water near beaches, enjoying the bonfire gazing star. The accommodation in the camp comprises of Alpine and deluxe Swiss cottage tents. Complete with beds, carpets and chairs, all in the midst of the Himalayan foothills ,forest and facing the Ganges . The tents are spread around the campsite . They ensure privacy and space to families and small groups.The camp is used for a wide range of activities like beach games, quiet retreats, , beach games ,beach bar-be-que and unlimited fun at this fascinating sun n white sand river beach. evenings come alive with riverside bonfire ,soothing music and finger licking bar-be-ques. Food: Dining is an interesting affair in a separate and spacious tent. Full course buffet meals are served. Delicious multi cuisine dishes - Indian, Mughlai, Chinese, Continental - are prepared by trained chefs. Barbecue snacks and soup are enjoyed around a bonfire in the evenings with the gurgling sounds of the river adding to the ambience.

    Trekking

Trekking in India was introduced by the Europeans in the 18th century. It was the time when new regions were either explored or conquered. Trekking as an adventure sport at this time was just taking shape. But later on, Trekkinging became a serious business and man's quest to conquer new heights took him close to many high peaks around the world. This quest for challenging the might of mountains and the curiosity to explore what lies in the upper reaches of snow capped peaks has virtually made man a conqueror. Today there is experience to an adventure sport lover. The Uttarkhand that stretch from north-west of India to far north-east offers a number of high rise peaks that are considered ideal for trekking. Some of the wonderful places for mountaineering in India are Garhwal and Kumaon Himalayas in Uttarkhand.
